I have come to the end of my 30 day vegan pledge today and I was ready to fulfil the commitment I made this time round. I've tried so often before, but it's utterly ridiculous to even think I could stick to it when I have to cook and then watch the rest of my family scoff pizzas, mac cheese and big bouffly-light cakes.
This time was different, I was determined.
I went to Paris and clocked up several miles on foot and climbed a million stairs, all on a vegan diet. Will I stick with it? I certainly plan to continue for now and I don't miss dairy products at all. If you watched the Paul McCartney video that I saw when I signed up, you'd understand why. Don't worry, I'm not about to lecture anyone but starting off with this great advice on Zen Habits, based around eating our local, seasonal mediterranean foods as much as possible.
I shall keep going. I know it's early days to tell if this could be a permanent change but I sure as fuck hope so.
